Lagos Finally the Nigeria Police have arrested a 27 years old notorious criminal identified Henry Ushie in Delta.
The development was sequel to the complaints by senior officers and the Force Public Republic Office (FPRO) office that some fraudsters were using the pictures and names of prominent citizens to create and operate facebook accounts and collect money from innocent Nigerians claiming they would give them jobs.
In addition, a facebook page using CSP Abba Kyari with his picture was also opened by the same set of criminals recenttly and several innocents citizens were defrauded.
In follow up to the complaints, Advance Technical Intelligence analysis was conducted and IRT teams were deployed to Delta State and eventually the notorious fraudster Henry Ushie and native of Cross River state from Bekwara Local Government Area was arrested in Asaba in the state.
The suspect confessed that for about three years he has been posing on Facebook as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Assistant Inspector General of Police (DIG), Commissioner of Police (CP)s, ministers, Managing Director (MD) of Companies to defraud Innocent Nigerians.
He further confessed that he is presently active and posing as DIG E department DIG Emmanuel Inyang, AIG MBU RTD, ACP Abba Kyari, army Captain and minister.
He also stated that he was arrested by the Police for same offense in 2015, subsequently charged to the court and was granted bail, there after he continued the same crime.
The phone and Sim cards used for committing the fraud, ATM Card of the account used to collect victim’s money were recovered from the Suspect.
