3 Lagos Journalists Attend NPC Training

Three Journalists from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council attended the just concluded 3-day workshop on election coverage organised by the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).

The programme was designed to improve Journalists understanding of election coverage ahead of the 2019 poll.

The programme was held in Akure Ondo State capital from April 20 to 21.

Those nominated by the Lagos NUJ were Ajibola Abayomi of TheLead Online, Fabian Anawo of Radio Nigeria and Laide Awosanya from the Voice of Nigeria.

According to the Lagos NUJ Chairman Dr Qasim Akinreti, he said the Union was committed towards adding value to its member by facilitating training programmed aimed at improving their career.

It would be recalled that earlier in the year, Dr Akinreti also co-opted four Journalists from the council into a United Nations training programme in Lagos organised by United Nations International Development Organisations.
