In a quest to make information about its activities easily accessible to interested parties and world over, the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) has launched its website tagged www.jiformalert.org
JIFORM is the umbrella body for over 150 seasoned journalists from across the world. The forum also has membership from other volunteers across the world and it focuses on migration related issues and community matters.
According to the Secretary General of the JIFORM, Juliet Makwama in a statement issued from Lusaka, Zambia, she quoted the President of the non-profit organization, Ajibola Abayomi, as saying the development was long overdue after the initial website was suspended due to technical hitches and the need for upgrading.
Makwama stated thus:
“To our readers and other volunteers, all authentic information about JIFORM are now available on www.jiformalert.org including all the seminar papers and pictures from our maiden international summit held in Abuja.
“The world is moving with technology. It is only wise for JIFORM to move with time. I want to also inform you that we shall open registration portal for all our 2020 programmes as well.”
“We urge journalists and all interested parties to utilize this portal for up to date details on migration as well as the programs that JIFORM undertakes. Please be on the look for JIFORM activities which will be available on this portal from hence forth.”
