Chinese Company Quarantines 500 Workers In Ogun

A Chinese company, LIFEMATE has quarantined about five hundred of its workers.

The company located at Mowe, Ogun state on the Lagos – Ibadan express way deals in household furniture, kitchen, toilets and bathroom accessories.

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, it closed it’s operation like other companies.

After, it began to invite the workers in batches and quarantine them for two weeks after which they will begin to work.

Our investigation reveals that the company give the workers meal tickets everyday to eat and the money deducted from their salaries at the end of the month.

Our investigation also revealed that the staff are not paid for the period they are in quarantine.

The third batch of staff in quarantine will start work tomorrow after completing the two weeks of quarantine.

However, non of the staff that have so far undergone the quarantine was sent home for developing any of the known symptoms of Covid-19.
