Arson: Lagos NUJ Expresses Solidarity With The Nation, TVC

The Lagos State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ has expressed solidarity with the management of The Nation Newspaper and Television Continental, TVC to bounce back after the arson on their headquarters on Wednesday, October 21,2020.

In a statement signed by the chairman of the union, Dr Qasim Akinreti, he said: ‘ We also congratulate our colleagues and the entire the Nation Newspapers family for the quick recovery and return to the Newsstand.

“We were all saddened by the unwanton destruction of properties by rampaging thugs amid #EndSARS protests. It is good to know the Nation Newspapers is back and better.

“There is an adage in Yoruba that says, “The burnt palace of a king is a blessing in disguise. Welcome back for better, The Nation Newspaper. We are waiting and looking forward to the comeback of Television Continental ,TVC” he said.
