National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Thursday at lecture in his hononour titled Bola Tinubu 10th Colloquium in Lagos took a swipe at the former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor, who described the letter written by the former president as a waste of time however did not mention his name simply saying, “someone just writing to the president was wasting his time.”
“I used to deliver letter of my grandmother at the post office in those days.
On PDP, the APC leader urged Nigerians to reject the recent apology of the party. According to him, the party impoverished Nigerians and looted the nation’s treasury with impunity.
“Don’t listen to them; they cannot come back to power. The Federal Government at the moment is challenged but with patience, we shall put Nigeria on the sound track with President Muhammadu Buhari.”
The President while making his own speech praised Tinubu for his contributions to the development of democracy in Nigeria and Africa. He described him as a man who cared for others.
He said the former Lagos State governor in line with his own dream had invested in the development of the people.
The President added that his government so far has charted a new course for the nation by rejecting corruption and investing in the citizens.
