The President of Association of National Licensed Customs Agents (ANCLA) Mr Iju Tony Nwabunike has declared support for the board of Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
He made the declaration during the election of 15 members of the board held in Lagos while charting with Journalists.
However the ANCLA boss was quick to stressed that it would take time for the board to eradicate quacks among in the freight forwarding industry.
Nwabunike who was the former chairman of the CRFFN board said “the new board needs all of us to succeed and that we shall do. On the issue of quacks you raised, definitely they need to settle down and get that sorted out.
“It will take a while before they clear out quacks but the most important thing is to have the board in place so that they can add value to the operation of freight forwarders and the maritime economy as well.”
On the election, he said the process was democratic, fair and devoid of acrimony and urged those elected to work for the good of the industry.
