The Lagos State Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) on Wednesday summoned the Chairperson of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) of Nigeria, Mrs Ifeyinwa Omowole, immediate past chairman of Lagos state council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Deji Elumoye, former Treasurer of NAWOJ, Mrs Tosin Odusola and former Managing Director Primewaterview, Mr Tunji Ogunwusi, the elder brother of the current Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwunsi.
Rising from a sitting at the Lagos Igbosere Court, the ADR mediator, Mrs. Dupe Ogunsanwo ordered the listed persons to appear before it on March 13, 2019 in a case filed by aggrieved Lagos journalists over a botched scandalous housing scheme running to millions of naira.
She said all interested parties in the matter should appear at the next sitting in their own interest so as to find amicable resolution to the matter.
Out of the six defendants, only NUJ was present while the duo of Omowole and Elumoye were represented by Barrister Yinka Kalejaye with representation from Ogunwunsi, the contractor who took over N70 million naira without offering commensurable service.
Kalejaye claimed that Ifeyinwa and Deji could not appear in person because they were based in Abuja.
