Dada Thompson,
March 17, 2019.
24 hours after tendering his resignation letter from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the leadership of the party, the body language of former Ogun state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel suggests that he may have finally shift his political base to the ruling All Progressive Congress ( APC).
Affirming the demand of his supporters that he should not quit politics but rather lead them to the APC today at his Shagamu residence, Daniel simply agreed with them.
He had addressed his supporters on his resignation from partisan politics however they rejected his position stating that he had ordered them to vote Ogun state governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun of the APC during the 2019 poll and as such they wanted him to lead them to the party.
The only word on the lips of Daniel while responding questions from Journalists after leaving the venue of the meeting regarding his next move was” you heard what my people said, they have spoken”.
