Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo has declared that Zambiawas determined to ensure that human trafficking cartels are bursted.
He said the country would not ignore the iligalities involving human trafficking.
He was speaking in Johannesburg, South Africa when he transited from Namibia where he was attending a SADC Ministerial Conference on Migration Dialogue for Southern Africa.
Kampyongo mentioned that Zambia was determined to ensure that the SADC Ministerial dialogue resolutiones were actualised in Zambia
He observed that there was need to collaborate among SADC countries to ensure that trafficking cartels were bursted in the region.
Mr. Kampyongo added that in as much as it was important to address migration challenges, it was equally important for SADC to appreciate the potentials of migration.
He mentioned that among the resolutions passed was the need to understand the linkages between migration and sustainable development.
Other resolutions included migration managament and governance in Southern Africa and the implementation of alternatives to child immigration detention
