The Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufai has commended the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR, over various initiatives at the Service as the agency plans to release a road map ahead of 2019-2023.
The Governor gave the commendation when the NIS paid a one-day official visit to the state immigration command.
Speaking at the Sir Kashim House, Government of Kaduna, the CGI Babandede appreciated the governor for supporting the Service in the state and providing enabling environment for the NIS service windows to attract businesses to the state.
The Governor congratulated the CGI for monumental developments and strides taken to transform the agency.
He noted that the impact of the new enhanced 10 year validity passport, Migrant e-registration exercise embarked upon around the country and infrastructural developments within Babandede’s three years of assumption of duty.
Recently the NIS celebrated its 56th years of establishment with the Management Retreat in Lagos where the Service road map 2019-2023 was drawn.
According to a statement signed by the NIS Public Relations Officer Deputy Comptroller, pcc Sunday James, the service road map would be made public soon.
