NIS Raises Alarm On Fake Recruitment

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)  has alerted Nigerians about activities of fraud stars attempting to dupe and misinformed innocent citizens by luring them with fake recruitment exercise concerning the Service.

Speaking through the National Spokesman of the NIS, Deputy Comptroller James Sunday in a statement on Monday, the Comptroller General of the agency, Muhammad Babandede described the exercise being marketed on social media as fraud.

The statement from the NIS headquarters reads thus: “The attention of the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR has been drawn to a fake NIS recruitment scam site and link posted on social media by fraudsters with the intention of defrauding innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians of monies.

“The Service had warned severally and is still warning good spirited Nigerians to avoid such fake recruitment offer which is not officially posted on the official NIS website.

“No fee whatsoever  is charged for NIS recruitment, the general public are advised to disregard the SCAM posted recently to avoid falling victims to these criminal elements, the NIS will always publish and announce its official recruitment and notifications through credible Nigerian dailies and media platforms for the attention of the general public.”
