The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Border Patrol Officers at the Yala Border Patrol, Cross River State arrested has a Cameroonian while carrying out routine check to forestall illegal access to the nation territories.
This was contained in a statement issued by the National Public Relations officer of NIS, Deputy Comptroller James Sunday.
While briefing the Comptroller General of NIS, Muhammad Babandede MFR, the Comptroller of Cross River Command Okey Ezugwu, stated that the Cameroonian named Kouaha Dieudonne, male, 42, was apprehended with multiple passports of different countries which were not his own.
He was caught in passion of two passports of Cameroonian and Guinea-Bissau bearing his name and other five Nigerian passports belonging to other persons.
According to the NIS Spokesman, Babandede has ordered for thorough investigation and his arrest, and commended the Comptroller of the Cross River Command and the Officers at Yala Border Patrol for a job well-done and display of professionalism, shunning inducement to effect the arrest.
The arrested migrant would be prosecuted after necessary charges are established against for him in line with Immigration law.
